Google releases Android Market version 3.0.27 for Android smarthphone users , adding the ability to rent movies and buy eBooks on the go.

Google has quietly rolled out an upgrade for the Android Market that combines a sleek new redesign with the availability of new types of content
Android Market version 3.0.27 appears much different than prior versions with content categories stacked together on the left-hand side and featured content listed on the right.
 

Best of all is the addition of the Books and Movies categories. Android users can now rent movies and buy eBooks on the go.

Movies appear to range in price from 99 cents to $4.99, though most are priced at a more reasonable $2.99.
The update is supposed to be already in the works, but if you’re phone hasn’t updated yet (like mine didn’t) than you can download Android Market version 3.0.27 here (need Froyo 2.2 and up installed).
